Garth Brooks wins Entertainer of the Year; Beyonce ruled 50th Annual CMA night

Presented by Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks were among the top awardees, BUT Brooks is the 50th Annual Country Music Award ‘Entertainer of the Year’, which is the highest award of the night.

Surprisingly, the Pop R&B Queen Beyonce took the spotlight, sporting a glittered, beaded gown, she ruled the audience as she performed country blues “Daddy Lesson” from her latest album “Lemonade” alongside was the Texas born star Dixie Chicks.

However, some fans expressed their frustration thru social media on why CMA allowed Beyonce to perform on the prestigious night.

“Tim McGraw on point with that diversity theme performing “Humble And Kind,” wrote one Twitter user, while another posted “This the first time black twitter has live tweeted the CMAs. Hilarious.”

Lifetime Achievement Award

Meanwhile, Dolly Parton earned the ‘Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award’, she said, “I would cry, but I didn’t want to mess up my eyelashes.”

Parton added, Willie Nelson Award “is an absolute high, for me,”

Kenny Chesney won the special Pinnacle Award, this is only the third time this award has been presented at the CMA Awards

Carrie Underwood named Female Vocalist of the Year Award for the fourth time. Underwood was so overwhelmed and at loss for words, saying “I’ve just become suddenly stupid.”

Chris Stapleton received male vocalist of the year award for the second time and ended his message saying “It takes a village,” a famous line often linked with U.S president candidate Hilary Clinton.

Paisley and Underwood also told jokes about the presidential campaign in opening remarks that included the lines “this show is rigged,” as well as.  “will you accept tonight’s results?” and “You’re a nasty woman.”

This was also a night to remember for Maren Morris who won for new artist, noting “Last year I sat across the street in a bar and watched this show.”

Eric Church received album of the year for “Mr. Misunderstood.”

Other awards went to Little Big Town for vocal group of the year and the Brothers Osborne, won vocal due of the year, Thomas Rhett for “Die a Happy Man,” won Single of the Year and Lori McKenna’s “Humble and King,” named song of the year.

CMA has been televised live from Nashville on ABC and aired more than three hours.

Johnny Depp joins Harry Potter’s ‘Fantastic Beasts’ Sequel

Johnny Depp, a 53-year-old multi-awarded Hollywood actor will have a cameo in the 2018 J.K Rowling’s wizarding world of magic “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” sequel – a spin-off of the Harry Potter Series. It will be out in theaters on Nov. 18, 2018.

According to the report, Timer Warner Inc-owned Warner Bros Studios did not officially announce Depp’s role in the sequel. However, he will have a brief appearance in the first film.

The Fantastic Beasts which timeline is set in New York in 1926, featuring Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne. The screenplay written by J.K. Rowling dated Fantastic Beasts long before the Harry Potter timeline, set in England during early 1990’s.

J.K Rowling, author of Harry Potter confirmed that there will be a total of 5 “Fantastic Beast’ movies.

The new movie series will feature the rise of a powerful wizard named Gellert Grindelwald. He will eventually challenge Albus Dumbledore, the future headmaster of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series.

Throughout the years Harry Potter is one of the most successful in movie history. J.K Rowling’s Seven-Book Harry Potter Series, sold more than 450 million copies worldwide.   The “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 franchise, which ended in 2011 has accrued more than $7 billion at the globally.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp known for his exceptional portrayal in the numerous Disney hit movies “”Pirates of the Caribbean,” in which he plays Captain Jack Sparrow, and “Alice in Wonderland,” in which he plays the Mad Hatter.

Cosby Lawyers Request to Exclude His 2005 Testimony From Trial

On Tuesday, Bill Cosby’s lawyers requested a Pennsylvania state judge to preclude jurors at his sexual assault trial from gathering potentially damaging testimony he gave under oath in 2005.

Lawyer Brian McMonagle argued at a trial in Norristown that a former Montgomery County prosecutor had assured never to prosecute Cosby over accusations by Andrea Constand that he attacked her at his Pennsylvania home in 2004. Constand is a former basketball coach at Temple University, Cosby’s alma mater.

McMonagle said without that promise, Cosby would never have consented to sit for a deposition in Constand’s civil lawsuit. In that testimony, Cosby admitted providing drugs to different women before participating in sexual acts. Constand’s case is the only one out of more than 60 to lead to criminal charges.

Cosby has continually denied any misconduct.

Prosecutors responded to McMonagle by replying that the assurance was never confirmed in writing. They also claimed that Cosby’s lawyers did not judiciously depend on the so-called “promise” in any case.

The two-day hearing was held before Judge Steven O’Neill of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. It focused on numerous disputes leading up to the trial slated for June. They involve the prosecution’s appeal to call as witnesses more than a dozen women who have charged Cosby.

‘Alcohol and drugs’

The once adored 79-year old comedian of the 1980’s TV hit show “The Cosby Show” has been accused by women of sexually assaulting them in a string of attacks dating back decades. The assault happens after loading them with alcohol and drugs, the women alleged.

Cosby is currently legally blind and has difficulty walking. He wore a dark suit and seemed focused throughout the hearing.

The morning session centered on Cosby’s sworn testimony in Constand’s 2005 civil lawsuit.

Cosby’s lawyer McMonagle said his client would have raised his constitutional right to avoid self-incrimination lacking the assurance from previous county District Attorney Bruce Castor.

“This was a sitting district attorney saying, ‘I’m not going to prosecute your client, ever,'” McMonagle said.

However, Castor’s own testimony on the matter at a February hearing was peppered with inconsistencies, Assistant District Attorney M. Stewart Ryan said. Ryan said that Castor also could not recall instances on which he seemed to tell reporters that the investigation could be reopened in the future.

Adele Shares her Fight Against Postpartum Depression

Adele, a 28-year-old singer, suffered from ‘Bad Postpartum Depression’ after having his son Angelo and she felt like she made ‘the worst decision of my life’, told the Vanity Fair Magazine.

Angelo is her only child with Simon Konecki and he is now 4 years old.
According to her, she “loves her son more than anything” but adjusting to motherhood isn’t as rosy as she expected.

“I was obsessed with my child. I felt very inadequate,” the singer said.

She was advised to talk to other mothers who are also battling with the same depression to gain more knowledge on how to properly deal with it but she declined. But after having a talk with a friend who had a child, she realized that she’s not the only one suffering with the said depression.

And now, she opted to give herself an afternoon a week alone time to do everything she wants and check if it will better the situation and later said she still feels uncomfortable whenever having her time off away with his son.

In her statement, she said “I’m enjoying touring, but at times I feel guilty because I’m doing this massive tour, and even though my son is with me all the time, on certain nights I can’t put him to bed.

“I never feel guilty when I’m not working,” Adele added.

“You’re constantly trying to make up for stuff when you’re a mum. I don’t mind, because of the love I feel for him.”

Album Success

Meanwhile, the singer-songwriter also shared how stage fright affects her badly that she may never tour again.

She said, “I’d still like to make records, but I’d be fine if I never heard [the applause] again. I’m on tour simply to see everyone who’s been so supportive.”

She also revealed, that she “will never write songs as good as the ones that are on 21”, because “I was completely off my face” while writing the second album. While the success of the hit song ‘Someone Like You’ was the result of smoking and drinking a couple of bottles of wine a night.

“A drunk tongue is an honest one,” she said. “I’m not as indulgent as I was then, and I don’t have time to fall apart like I did then.” She said.

Elvis Presley Breaks Record; Overwhelms Madonna in Album Charts

The late King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley holds a new music title for having the “Most Number One albums by a solo artist”; ranking next to the Beatles, which currently holds 15 Number One albums in their belt.

The “Wonder of You” made it as his 13th album to the top of the chart, breaking Lady Gaga’s and Michael Buble’s song records. Until recently, Elvis and Madonna tied the spot for having 12 number one albums respectively.

Elvis would be “so thankful”

The Official Charts Company presented the award to Elvis’s widow, Priscilla Elvis who said that the late singer would be “so thankful” for the accomplishment.

She also said that she is “proud of all he has accomplished and so grateful to the UK fans who have kept his legacy alive with all of their support”. Priscilla also wishes that the fans would continue listening to her husband’s music and “love his music as much as I do.”

The Rock and Roll King died in 1977, his vocal performances in his newest album are accompanied by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Songs that shattered records

Similarly, other artists also made it to the top records for their song albums.

Status Quo’s Aquostic II, “That’s A Fact” secured a spot at number seven. Whereas, Sia’s new deluxe edition of “This is Acting”, raised to the spot of number eight from previously being on top 35.

It was followed by “The Serenity Of Suffering’, Korn’s 12th album released, granting the band their first UK Top 10 album since 2002. The top 10 goes to the cast recording of David Bowie’s musical Lazarus.

Meanwhile, new records ended in top 25 this year; Starting with Jimmy Eat World’s “Integrity Blues” which is at number 21. Trailing behind at number 23 is from The Pretty Reckless, “Who You Selling For”. Also, Melanie C’s Version of “Me” got the spot of number 25.

The highest new record goes to Clean Bandit’s “Rockabye” featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie.

Similarly, the top five chart singles remain undaunted for the week. Still clinging to the number one spot is Little Mix’s “Shout Out to My Ex”. Drake ends the record in his “Fake Love” which is at number 37, his 20th time staying on top 40.

‘Nasty Woman’, ‘Bad Hombre’ and Ken Bone Tops Halloween Costume

Move over ghost and ghouls, Halloween just got new stars as it turned its inspiration on famous electoral events this year.  The US election is just a few days away; Americans can expect to see a lot of Democratic flag bearer, Hillary Clinton’s “nasty woman” depiction.  Of course, there will be the Republican candidate, Donald Trump’s “Bad Hombres” Mexican immigrant comment. Along with the “basket of deplorables”, knocking on doors for the traditional trick or treat.

The November 8 election inspires Revelers to create election campaign costumes. They aim to put humor on the otherwise vicious fight for the presidency. In the past months, the Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton desperately pursue the White house position.

Joining the bandwagon

A marketing executive from Atlanta, Ted Wright aged 45, said he is planning to dress as a “bad hombre” while his wife will don the “nasty woman”. The two costumes were based on the October 19 debate, referring to Trump’s comment pertaining to his opponent, Clinton and his controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants.

Although Wright is a Republican, he will not vote for Trump. He said, “This is one of those elections where it’s very difficult to discuss [it] in polite company. That is why we’re going ‘bad hombre’ and we’re going ‘nasty woman.'”

The 22-year-old college student from Chicago, Hannah Hemperly also planned to dress up as a ‘nasty woman”. She said, “When (Trump) was calling (Clinton) a ‘nasty woman,’ I think I just felt solidarity with Hillary”. The college student added that she will be voting for the democratic candidate.

Some will get their inspiration from Clinton’s notorious remark of Trump’s supporters. Jake West, 43, an associate of a Chicago-area architecture firm, said that he and his friends are planning to dress a “basket of deplorables because that word, that phrase, ‘basket of deplorables’ has been flying around so much.”

Another unusual choice of costume is to dress up like Ken Bone. He is the famous mustached man wearing a red sweater during the October 19 presidential debate. Bone cut into the campaign rebuttals to ask a sincere question about the energy policy of the two candidates.

A Virginia resident, Corey Campbell who is leaning towards Trump said he will shave his beard to look like Bone. He said, “I think the only way you could not have a little campaign fatigue after this cycle is if you haven’t been paying attention.” Campbell also said that Bone is Bone “a bright moment in this crazy campaign cycle.”

Similarly, other election-related costumes proved to be popular for fancy dress parties and parades in preparation for the Halloween on October 31.

According to a spokeswoman of Spirit Halloween, the Clinton and Trump foam masks priced at $12.99 are their best sellers. The company specializes in costumes and party supplies indicated that on Wednesday, the Clinton mask had sold out online.

Attorney General: No Ongoing Investigation On Singer Timberlake For Ballot Selfie

A local district attorney said on Tuesday that there is no ongoing investigation on pop star Justin Timberlake for posting a selfie in a polling station on social media. This after Tennessee officials said hours earlier that a probe was under way.

Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said she is out of town at a conference. No one in her office is presently looking into the matter nor will be using their limited means to do so, she added.

A representative for Timberlake did not respond to requests for comment.

With the latest hullabaloo over so-called ballot selfies, the actor and singer seemed to have violated Tennessee election law when he posted the photo.

Timberlake posted the photo on Monday with a caption saying that he had traveled to his hometown of Memphis from Los Angeles to participate in early voting ahead of the November 8 election.

Part of the caption on the photo says, “Get out and VOTE! #exerciseyourrighttovote.” It was posted on Instagram, where he has more than 37 million followers.

Tennessee law forbids voters from recording or taking videos or photographs inside a polling station.

The propagation of social media and cellphone cameras has created disagreements in states that have laws against taking photos within polling booths and sharing photos of marked ballots.

The laws aim to put off voter intimidation and any slow down of the voting process. However, in some cases, the laws predate the social media age.

The Law is unconstitutional

In Michigan, a federal court on Monday sided with a man who said that the law there prohibiting voters from taking photos of their marked ballots infringed on his constitutional right to free speech. The court stopped implementation of the law.

Meanwhile, two voters in Colorado filed a complaint on Monday looking to reverse a law there that outlawed the showing of an accomplished ballot to others. They argued that the sanction was unconstitutional.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, governor of California from 2003 until 2011 wished he could run for president this year.

In an interview with AdWeek, Schwarzenegger told them “If I’d been born in America, I would’ve run.”

“Because now? This was a very good time to get in the race,” he added.

Schwarzenegger was born in Austria, and it could have been interesting to see who have won between him and Donald Trump.

Judging by his comments, he would have given more fight than any other Republican candidates.

Republican Nominee, Donald Trump continued his fight against women who accused him of sexual assault.

Jessica Drake, a 42-year-old adult film star has accused him of “grabbing her” and kissed her without permission 10 years ago.

At a campaign rally in Florida, he responded to Drake’s allegation, “One said, ‘He grabbed me in the arm.’ And she’s a porn star,” before adding: “Oh, I’m sure she’s never been grabbed before.”

As Mr. Trump responded to all the allegations, he vowed to sue all his accusers after the elections.

On the other hand, Hillary Clinton faces turmoil when her links to the FBI comes under scrutiny again.

On Monday, the wife of an FBI official, Jill McCabe received nearly $500,000 from Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to help with her campaign.

Governor McAuliffe has been a long-time ally and fundraiser for Bill and Hillary Clinton. The FBI official later helped oversee the investigation into Hillary’s email use.

Scandals linked to the Democratic nominee have been unclear and confusing on how she was involved. Nevertheless, it’s news she could do without.

Donald Trump, who have been facing so numerous scandal and allegations have been struggling to woo millennials. In one USA Today Poll shows millennials would vote more for Clinton over Trump. This gives her a 48% lead over the Republican.

Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns dies of cardiac arrest aged 57

Dead or Alive singer and Celebrity Big Brother star Pete Burns has died of heart failure aged just 57.

British pop icon Burns founded Dead or Alive in 1980. The band’s biggest chart hit was the 1985 single ‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record.)‘

Since then he proved to be a huge hit after appearing on several reality TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Wife Swap and The Body Shocking Show.

He had been due to appear on the popular British daytime TV show Loose Women today but his place was taken by Alesha Dixon.

Tragic

His death comes just days before his band’s compilation album Sophisticated Boom Box MMXVI was due to be released on October 28.

The news was announced by his manager Steve Coy on Twitter in a statement which said: “It is with the greatest sadness that we have to break the tragic news that our beloved Pete Burns of (Dead Or Alive) died suddenly yesterday of a massive cardiac arrest.”

Earlier this year Burns – who likened himself to Frankenstein’s monster – revealed that he had undergone more than 300 surgical procedures in a bid for physical perfection.

He underwent dozens of corrective treatments, including four nose jobs, two sets of cheekbone implants and lip plumping.

When lip augmentation surgery went badly wrong he was awarded £450,000 compensation and then underwent 200 surgeries in two years to fix the problem.

He said: “I’ve got staples, nuts, bolts, stitches, the whole lot. I’m Frankenstein. People might think I’m the ugliest son of a b**** alive but I want to maintain this appearance.”

Bill Murray Awarded The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor was awarded to Comedian Bill Murray on Sunday in a star-studded Kennedy Center ceremony. During the event, fellow actors and friends praised him for the joy he has brought to audiences worldwide.

Murray said his success was established in love from his family. He also credited the talented people he had worked with for more than four decades. The 65-year-old actor has starred in such movies as “Groundhog Day,” “Ghostbusters” and “Rushmore”.

Murray, after accepting the award named after the 19th century American author and humorist, said, “There’s love, that’s what we came with, that’s what we go with. I love you, let’s try to repeat that to each other,”.

The funnyman, known for his irreverence and spontaneity, handed the award down into the audience to be passed around.

Murray was granted the 19th Mark Twain Prize for making an impression on U.S. society comparable to Twain’s. Previous winners include Lily Tomlin, Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Eddie Murphy and Neil Simon.

Murray is one of the best-known stars to come out from NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” He performed and honed his skills portraying lovably smarmy characters on the innovative television comedy show from 1977 to 1980.

Murray has won two Emmy Award and was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award. This was for his depiction of a jet-lagged movie star in “Lost in Translation.”

Steve Martin, appearing in a video footage, said, “I’d like to say to you, welcome to the club. And to the Kennedy Center, I’d like to say – really?” Martin is a Mark Twain Prize awardee himself.

Genius and extrovert

Jimmy Kimmel, ABC’s late night TV host, called Murray both a genius and fearless extrovert. He said that the comedian can get away with lifting French fries off diners’ dishes and crashing a White House press briefing.

“Bill Murray could shove you off the side of the Hoover Dam and you’d be like, ‘Hey, Bill Murray,’ all the way down,” Kimmel added.

Others at the ceremony include former NBC “Late Night” host David Letterman, singer Miley Cyrus, and “Ghostbusters” director Ivan Reitman.

Angelina Gets a visit from the FBI While Brad Enjoys Second Visit to Kids

Brad Pitt paid a visit to his kids for the second time since the highly publicized divorce case from his wife Angelina Jolie. According to E! News, Brad is not the only one getting visits recently as Angelina Jolie got a visit from the Federal Bureau Investigation herself.

However, there is no information if the couple’s 15-year-old son Maddox was able to see his father. According to a source, the famous stars’ eldest son, “is mad at his dad and doesn’t want to see him now.”

Brad Pitt had a monitored visit that “lasted about 90 minutes at an undisclosed neutral location.” And that the famous actor, “wasn’t as emotional as the first visit, but it was obvious that he was very happy to see the kids”, as reported by In Touch.

On the other side, two FBI agents called on the kids’ famous mother, Angelina Jolie. The FBI agents spent three hours with Jolie and her children at their Malibu home. According to TMZ, the FBI agents interviewed the famous Hollywood actress regarding the private plane incident. That particular occasion involved Pitt and one of their children.

FBI spokesperson said in an interview, “In response to your inquiry regarding allegations within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States; specifically, an aircraft carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI continues to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued.”

The Department of Children and Family Services continues to investigate the accusations about the altercation onboard the private plane. The allegations involving Pitt and his oldest son, Maddox occurred during their flight from France going to the United States. But according to a source, authorities’ main concern is the well-being of the children.

Angelina gets temporary custody of children

Initially, Jolie filed for a sole custody of their six children. Nonetheless, the Hollywood couple agreed to a temporary custody. The children will stay with Jolie while Brad recieved visitation rights.

The famous star both agreed to undergo individual counseling. Also, Pitt’s first visit with the children involved a therapist. Up to now, the therapist had not released directives for supervision or monitoring.

Jolie guaranteed that the sole custody of the children will not become permanent; she had done what was necessary to the situation for the children’s well-being. The famous star still believes that they need to co-parent the children in the future.

Actress Pleads Not Guilty in Pipeline Dispute

On Wednesday, actress Shailene Woodley pleaded not guilty to allegations coming from her eminent arrest with 27 other people, court documents show. They were apprehended while protesting the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline.

According to court documents, Woodley’s attorney entered the pleas to misdemeanor counts of engaging in a riot and trespassing. However, the 24-year-old star was not present for the brief hearing in Morton County District Court in North Dakota.

Woodley was seen on camera being taken into custody. She had been broadcasting the October 10 protest on Facebook Live. The rally was held at a Dakota Access pipeline construction area about 2 miles (3.2 km) south of the town of St. Anthony.

The actress said she had been quietly heading back to her car when officers grabbed her by her jacket. They also told her not to continue.

Police said Woodley was among the last people arrested at the time after she left private property.

Aside from acting, Woodley is known for her environmental activism. She has beforehand joined members of North Dakota’s Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to protest against the $3.7 billion project.

The 1,100-mile (1771-km) pipeline would be the first to bring Bakken shale from North Dakota straight to refineries on the US Gulf Coast. A consortium of companies led by Energy Transfer Partner LP is building the pipeline.

The construction of the pipeline, called Dakota Access, has been hampered by demonstration causing delays to the planned start of operations in the fourth quarter of this year.

SNL Parody ‘Stinks!’, Boring and Unfunny Show says Trump

Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump was not impressed on a Saturday Night Live (SNL)show, where Alec Baldwin spoofed him.

In a statement posted on his twitter, he says “Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me. Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alex Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!”

NBC’s highly popular comic institution ‘Saturday Night Live’ is one of the longest running TV show in America, known for making the most controversial and memorable spoofs. The show pokes fun at politicians like Richard Nixon tagged as an ‘unhinged bigot and Gerald Ford satirized as a nincompoop.

Additionally, Bill Clinton was caricatured as a good-hearted but self-indulgent fast-food junkie, George W. Bush ridiculed as a likable fool and Sarah Palin mocked as an ignorant lightweight.

They all suffered from an offensive parody by SNL but none of them opposed the show’s management.

Trump said there was a long list of people and institutions out to discredit his credibility. He mentioned the news media, corporate insiders and members of his own Republican Party. Furthermore, he included the Democratic Party especially Hillary Clinton, and some women who recently accused him of making unwanted sexual advances.

The SNL spoof that upset Trump featured Alec Baldwin {as Trump}. Baldwin during their mock presidential debate, said to Kate Mckinnon {as Clinton} , “I’m going to huff. I’m going to puff. And I’m going to blow this whole thing.”

‘I love kids so much, i marry them’

The parody also mocked Clinton but not nearly as harsh. When asked if he is a role model for children, Baldwin {as Trump} replied, “I’ve been helping kids my whole life. I love kids. I love them so much, I marry them.”

Baldwin {as Trump} is shown stealthily on the stage while Clinton is talking, as if to intimidate or distract her.

At one point, the Trump character is shown arguing that women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of alleged sexual improprieties “need to be respected. They need their voices heard.” The faux debate moderator interjects, “What about all the women accusing you of sexual assault?” Trump’s character replies, “They need to shut the hell up.”

JK Rowling Hints of Dumbledore Return in ‘Fantastic Beast’ Movie Series

Albus Dumbledore returns to the silver screen once again in the movie series “Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them” series. The author, JK Rowling has planned scripts for up to five movies in the franchise. The first such movie is due for release in November.

The series, directed by David Yates and written by JK Rowling herself is a prequel to the Harry Potter series. It was set 70 years before the first Harry Potter movie and book. The series features a young wizard in search of magical creatures.

In a fan event in London, JK Rowling said in an interview, “We do talk about Dumbledore and Grindelwald,” as she hinted that the Fantastic Beast movie will feature the two important characters from the Harry Potter books.

Decades before the start of the first book in the Harry Potter series, Dumbledore and Grindelwald were best of friends. Their relationship ended in a grim event which hounded Dumbledore for the rest of his life.

Rowling confirmed to her fans that the Hogwarts headmaster was gay. She divulged a close relationship between the pair, which she indicates that Dumbledore had romantic feelings for the dark wizard.

 

The production had disclosure of who will portray the role of Dumbledore in future films. Richard Harris who died in 2002 first portrayed Dumbledore. He was succeeded by Michael Gambon for the remaining Harry Potter films.

Who will play young Dumbledore?

David Yates humorously stated in the same London event, “We can’t tell you too because we’d have to kill you all, but we do mention Dumbledore and he features in a wonderful scene between Colin [Farrell] and Eddie [Redmayne]”. Yates said in reference to questions of who will play Dumbledore in the upcoming films.

He added that “Grindelwald does feature in the background and is going to become a much more prominent feature moving forward”.

The first part of the movie, Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them will premier next month.

Award-Winning Rapper Coolio Charged With Illegal Firearm Possession

Grammy award winner rapper Coolio was indicted for unlawful firearm possession on Thursday. The charges stemmed from a gun that prosecutors said was discovered in his backpack last month. The firearm was detected during screening at Los Angeles International Airport.

The rapper’s real name is Artis Leon Ivey. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that if convicted, Ivey could be sentenced to as much as three years in state prison.

Prosecutors said the recording star was prohibited from carrying a gun because of two prior felony convictions. He was charged for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle in 2001. Furthermore, in 2009, the court convicted him for possession of cocaine base.

Coolio was slated to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court for an arraignment on Thursday, District Attorney spokesman Ricardo Santiago said. However, the hearing was deferred until Oct.26 after his lawyer notified the judge that the rap artist was out of state performing.

A warrant for the rappers arrest would be issued if he failed to show for the latter court date.

The recording star is best known for his 1995 Grammy Award-winning hit “Gangsta’s Paradise”. The hit song was at the top of the US chart that year and one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Loaded pistol was stolen

A stolen, loaded pistol was detected in Coolio’s backpack on the X-ray screening belt while his entourage was going past security to get on a flight on the way to a concert, LAX police who arrested the rapper said.

LAX police spokesman Rob Pedregon said another member of the entourage originally claimed ownership of the bag. Nevertheless, the evidence pointed police to Coolio. Police then accosted the recording artist, who was aboard the plane at the time.

Pedregon said Coolio admitted under questioning that the backpack and gun were his. However, little else was said after he was taken into custody.

Meanwhile, the case remains under investigation.

Newsline video: Kardashian sues gossip site

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has filed a defamation lawsuit against US celebrity gossip site MediaTakeOut.com.

The move follows the website’s claim that she had faked the Paris robbery at which she was held at gunpoint and was forced to hand over millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

The lawsuit pursues unspecified damages for defamation. It cites both MediaTakeOut.com and Fred Mwangaguhunga, its founder, as defendants.

“After having been the victim of a horrific and traumatic armed robbery in France, Kim Kardashian returned to the United States only to again be victimized, but this time by an online gossip tabloid that published a series of articles in early October 2016 referring to her a liar and thief,” the lawsuit said.

It also stated that Mwangaguhunga declined to publish a retraction and an apology.

Meanwhile an online retailer has withdrawn a Halloween costume which featured a bound and gagged Kardashian lookalike dressed in a white robe and sporting a giant ring.

While the reality TV star was not named in the $70 doll the costume description said: “She has devoted her life to promoting American decadence, youth, and hedonism but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry and her peace of mind.”

Now, following a social media outcry, the company behind the product has withdrawn it from sale and apologised if it “offended anyone”.

A retail company ‘Costumeish’ has made it to the spotlight in selling an offensive costume based on Kim Kardashian’s traumatic robbery incident in Paris, where she was tied up and forced to the bathroom by five armed men who stole more than $10 million worth of jewelry.

The $69.99 costume which named ‘Parisian Heist Robbery Victim’ features a “white short sexy robe, long black wig, ‘$4 million dollar’ ring, large sunglasses, fake gag and 2’ of rope.”

The product description says…

“This Halloween it’s all about the #Hallomeme and who better than America’s goddess of all things glamorous ‘Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume?’”

People from social media expressed their sympathy and support to Kim Kardashian and mocked ‘Costumeish’ for being so heartless.

“The Kim Kardashian Halloween costume is beyond disrespectful #disgusting,” one tweeter wrote, while another added, “There’s a Kim Kardashian robbery victim Halloween costume – who in their right mind would buy something so pathetic and insulting.”
Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian appeared Tuesday, October 11 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and broke her silence about the traumatic robbery incident of her sister.

“She’s not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together,” Khloé, 32, said. “We do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support. It will take time. It was horrible what happened to her.”

Kardashian Sues Gossip Site Over Fake Robbery Claims

Kim Kardashian filed a suit against a website on Tuesday for alleging that she had staged an armed robbery in Paris. The robbery had left her traumatized, her sister said.

The reality TV star filed a defamation lawsuit in New York against MediaTakeOut.com, a US celebrity gossip site. The website, which did not immediately respond to a request for comment, reported that Kardashian had faked the robbery. Furthermore, it said that the celebrity then filed a fraudulent insurance claim.

Paris police said that early on October 3, the 35-year old celebrity was robbed at gunpoint. The masked men got away with some $10 million in jewelry after they tied her up in her Paris apartment.

Since the robbery, Kim has stopped her other business and social engagements. Meanwhile, the Kardashian’s TV show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” has been put on hold.

Khloe made the first TV appearance on Tuesday by a family member since the robbery incident. She said the incident had been a “wake-up call” to the family.

She told US television show host Ellen DeGeneres that Kim is not doing that well but their family is super close and they’ll get through it together.

Website charged for defamation

Security Concerns Set Off Cancellation of Appearances by Khloe Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner

US Weekly spilled the beans on how the Kardashian sisters cancelled their gigs after Kim’s frightful Paris heist.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie ceased their scheduled appearances because of on-going security concerns.

A source said to US Weekly, “Appearances are being cancelled for them because of the robbery. Kendall, Kylie and Khloé have cancelled upcoming book signings.”

Khloe organized an event with the notable Barnes & Noble to promote her paperback edition book, “Strong Looks Better Naked”. Her New York Bestselling book will be made available on October 18. The Jenner sisters’ were set to release their second novel. Their book, entitled “Time of the Twins: The Story of Lex and Livia” is bound to release on November 15. The sisters seemed to have an inclination for writing books, since Kim also authored a book entitled Selfish.

“The family is all on lock-down right now. They’re deciding when to discuss the situation and how to move forward”, another source stated to US.

Furthermore, the filming of the E!’s reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashian was also put “on hold indefinitely”. The network had earlier released their statement that they prioritize Kim’s well-being.

Low profile with heavy security

Kim maintained a low profile since the robbery in Paris on October 3. Five men robbed Kim of her jewelries worth $10 million. Her husband, the 39-year-old pop icon, Kanye West was performing in Queens for the Meadows Festival. An assistant pulled Kanye while performing “Heartless” and immediately left a mid-way performance on the concert.

On Thursday, Kim, Kanye and their two children North 3 and Saint 10-month old went back home in LA. A source told US, “they had several security guards with them”. Kim donned a white hoodie while leaving their New York apartment carrying her daughter to get into their waiting SUV.

Kim is taking her time off for the next few weeks while Kanye will resume his scheduled shows this week.
