‘Killer Clown’ prankster left with bloody nose as victim fought back

There is a “killer clown” lurking everywhere these days, it seems.

It is almost impossible to visit a news website without seeing yet another ‘killer clown’ prank captured on video.

The craze of dressing up as a clown while armed with a weapon to cause panic and terror is sweeping the globe.

However the authorities…and the victims, are fighting back.

As our Newsline video shows, if you dress up as a clown to scare people witless they may not react as you anticipated.

Bloody

Some of the victims fight back and at least one “killer clown” has been left with a bloody nose for his efforts.

And in the UK jobless Connor Jones, 18, has been fined £90 ($110) for turning up at his cousin’s infant school dressed as a clown for a prank.

Jones said he decided to join in the craze after seeing how it has swept America and bought the clown outfit on eBay. He said: “It was just a joke which backfired. I didn’t mean to scare anyone.”

Meanwhile police in England said that anyone who dressed as a clown with the intention of scaring people faced arrest and prosecution.

Attacked

Police in Kent, in the south of England, said they had received 59 clown-related incidents in just three days while a mother in nearby Leicester says she gave birth prematurely after going into labor when a teenage clown jumped out at her.

In the north of England dad Simon Chinery, 28, had his fingers sliced to the bone by a knife-wielding clown who attacked him at an ATM.

Mr Chinery said: “It was awful. Just like something out of a horror movie. I have never been so petrified in all my life.

“This clown craze is getting out of control.”

And as the ‘killer clown’ craze continues McDonald’s has told restaurant managers to ensure that clown mascot Ronald McDonald keeps a low profile…at least for the time being.
