After a decade, The Rolling Stones band finally releases their newest blues inspired studio album in December. It’s their first studio album after 2005’s “A Bigger Bang”.
2012, was the last time they filmed an original piece. They featured two new songs then, One More Shot and the single Doom and Gloom.
The Rolling Stones announced that they were releasing a new album last April. They also shared how smooth and flawless their rehearsal was.
Keith Richards said “We just picked a song that suited Mick’s harmonica or a guitar riff… and they worked out pretty good.
“It was like, ‘this is what the Stones do, we play blues.’
The Band recorded “Blue & Lonesome” in just three days in British Grove Studios in Chiswick, West London. This location is just across the place from where they started their journey in the 1960’s.
The newest album features new versions of songs by artist Howlin’ Wolf and Jimmy Reed. Blues music has been their inspiration in creating their original piece.
Here are some of the tracks that fans need to look forward to, Little Walter’s Just Your Fool, Everybody Knows About My Good Thing by Little Johnny Taylor and finally, I Can’t Quit You, originally written by Willie Dixon and made famous by Otis Rush.
Blues is the Stones
“This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do,” said Don Was, who co-produced the new recordings.
The Album is open for pre-order on 7th October and will be officially released on the 2nd of December 2016 at Polydor Records.
A new Song , “Just Your Fool” will be given immediately if you pre-order the album.
